Sustainability

Sewing rooftop stories into sustainable dresses

At the core of our brand is a dedication to environmental responsibility that extends beyond mere eco-friendliness. Our materials and manufacturing processes have minimal planetary impact while upholding the highest quality standards.

Our fabrics

  • TENCEL™ Lyocell

Tencel Lyocell is a 100% sustainable cellulosic fiber, derived from certified wood sources and fully compostable. Lenzing’s sustainably managed forests are FSC® and PEFC™ certified, and the fabric is delivered by boat to minimize its carbon footprint.

  • Irish linen

Our Irish linen is woven in an ISO 14001 certified mill that is now powered by 100% renewable electricity, certified Zero Emissions by Power NI. It offers supreme comfort and durability.

  • OEKO-TEX® elastic

We use OEKO-TEX® elastic, a top-quality stretch material certified free from harmful substances. It meets the strict health and environmental standards set by OEKO-TEX®.

  • ECOVERO™ viscose

Ecovero™ viscose is made by LENZING™ from renewable resources. Its eco-responsible production results in up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic viscose.

Earth-conscious creation

Our fabric mills use 100% green energy, minimize water, toxic chemical and energy usage, and carry OEKO-TEX® 100 certification. All our fabrics are made from recycled or renewable materials.

We use digital printing instead of screen printing to minimize water and ink waste.

Nothing goes to waste

Our slow fashion commitment means dresses are made in small batches, while 100% of production takes place in the UK. We keep transport low by sourcing materials locally, or shipping by boat when necessary.

Offcuts of fabric are upcycled to become scrunchies and bows, while larger pieces create new samples.

Packaging principles

Our hangtags are crafted from biodegradable wildflower seed paper. Simply plant them to grow flowers.

Our boxes use FSC certified recycled cardboard and are 100% recyclable. Our handmade paper thank-you notes are made of plant fibers and dyed with natural botanicals.
